Would any one know how long (roughly) after switching the ignition off and leaving the car EAS become's dormant ,I ask as I unlocked and got back in the car about an hour after locking and leaving it to hear the tick, tick of the relays I guess trying to self level the key was still in my hand is this normal ?.

Does it not try to self level when you unlock using air from the tank?
Can't remember if mine click when I get in or not?

Depends on the year. Early ones used to self-level regularly and then they did a software update so it only wakes up every 6 hours or so to self-level. Doesn't use the air-tank AFAIK.

Self levels for twenty seconds when ignition is switched off if doors are shut. Will stop when door is opened then continue when door is shut. Can only level downwards never adds air to level. With car locked self levels every six hours.

Thanks for the replies folks I had it in my mind that the eas switched off after a few minuets when the car was left ,they are bloody clever these cars .

After the last few posts I am looking at that car in a different way .
