So my P38 has been in at the stealers for the 120k mile service, apart from some tyres and a slight oil leak. They have observed the air con isn't function now I had noticed that it didn't seem as cool as normal.

They wanted £90 just to diagnose it so have left it at the moment, given I don't have the book symbol on the display and it does blow cold air eventually. Is it likely it just needs a recharge or is it something more serious.

Probably a leaking condensor, seems to be a common failure. Get it leak tested and refilled, some say Kwik Fit as if it doesn't work they don't charge?

Thanks for the reply yes I was thinking of trying Kwik fit as have heard the same approach as you that you don't get charged if it doesn't work especially as they only charge £50.
