Hi
Ayone got any tips on replacing the sump gasket - i have the RAVE manual, although it mentions putting the vehicle on a ramp and then lifting it to get clearance between the sump and axle. Is this all necessary, or are there any shortcuts?

I'll be attempting this on my driveway (which is covered in spots of oil from the current leaking gasket)

Any help greatly appreciated
Thanks
Shane

Some of the 4.6's don't have a gasket, they use silicone sealant (RTV) instead. Raising the car does help with threading the sump over the oil pick up.

if your not using gasket, peugeot dealers sell a motorquip sump sealer which is better than standard instant gasket as not affected by petrol.
If you get stuck I'll see if I can find the name of it.
