my rr 2.5 dse has 192,000 miles up . engine reconditioned 10,000 miles ago. i have a few bits of problems 1 it has got thirsty lately 18mpg around town max 26mpg on motorway. 2 the hot start problem was,not as bad before the engine was done,it has no problem when the engine is cold or even if the temp guage is half way in the blue she will fire up straight away when the glow plug light goes out. if the temp is any higher takes 10 secs cranking +cloud of smoke. 3. noise from brakes i think its left hand front ,squealing i checked all wheels after a long journey none which seems extra hot. any suggestions would much appreciated.

Try posting on the Range Rover bit of the forum, sounds like you have a seized or sticking caliper.
