Cooked my engine yesterday. Disco 300tdi.

Ran out of water and didn't notice until the engine stopped on the motorway.

Now only fires on 3 cylinders.

How bad is this likely to be?

Will I get away with just a head change or is it a complete rebuild/recon engine?

I fryed mine this time last year, after only owning it for a month,
Mine overheated and couldn't get it to start at all, it wouldn't do anything.
Mine ended up needing a complete rebiuld, so the fact that yours is actually running is a bit more promising i'd of thought.
I't turned out that my engine was seized, and a chunk had been burnt out of the head.
