on my 1996 diesel RR the injector light is on all the time and is very sluggish am i correct in thinking it no 4 injector thats failed and also if you install a new one do you have to have it set up at all please can anyone help me

Not sure if No.4 will bring on the Injector lamp - but no need to set up on fitment of replacement

could be crankshaft sensor mine gives a quick flash when i let off the throttle at times and i have been told its the crank sensor

Sounds like injector to me if running sluggish ,crank sensor would either not work or run like a pig, the engine management light will come on if no four injector is faulty .

Faulty hot start fix would do that and cause poor performance. Otherwise needs diagnostics.

thanks everyone will have it on diognostic and find out and get it fixed
