Hi all,

I recently bought a Suzuki Jimny (wide). Before buying, the saleman showed
me the engine by opening the front bonnet. After bringing home, I'm really
having a hard time finding the switch or lever to open it. I know this
sounds silly, but I can't find it anywhere within reach to the drivers seat.

Thanks,
perkal

Open the glove box, and look or feel along the inside top of the glove box
opening. There is a lever to pull, looks like the handle on a lawnmower pull
cord.

A lever at the top of the glove box.

Then you have to find the secondary bonnet catch!

(Just slide your fingers along the bonnet opening and you'll find it.)

it's there for security, lock the glove box and if anyone breaks into the
car they will have a job opening the bonnet.

It's there to increase spare parts sales - if anyone breaks into the car,
you'll need to replace the glovebox lid and probably part of the dash when
they crowbar it open.

Perhaps it can be booby trapped with the passenger airbag?
