Hi All,
New to the site so not sure where to put what?
Last week a got myself an ex MOD 110 2.5 na with 46000 ish kms on the clock (recon)
As i said in my intro post it has a few issues which i wanna work my way through. I'm new to land rovers (or Landys) not sure with the correct Land rover speak
Anyway i'm not a muppet when it comes to working on cars as i have worked on many through my years.
I have three pressing issues to start with wich i could do with some help.
1, It feels like i have two 4th gears i.e when i put her into 5th there dosent feel like a change in ratio -it does go into 5th but the revs really dont seem to change?? Is that normal? Am i used to driving my Navara? Its in Hi.
I have heard people say they cruse at 50-55 but it feels like im knocking the pipe out of it at that speed! if thats normal then so be it i couldnt give a crispy duck!..i love it!
2, I have oil blowing out of my oil cap (not bad but enough) - i'm going to look at that tomorrow maybe look at the breathers etc.
3, When i put her in a hard lock to right she kinda screem out! only in a hard lock but it sounds like a dodgy earthed 1940's car horn!
Anyway, these are my pressing issues at mo.
Any advice with any of these would be much appreciated.
