While underneath I noticed the right hand hub is covered in oily dirt.

Bearing and seal were replaced last year.

Any ideas please?

There has been a known problem with the manufacturers size of the oil seal being too small an internal diameter and therefore getting chewed up by the drive shaft. See if you can acess this topic
