Anyone know what adapter I need to fit the oil temp sender into the filter housing?

What sender unit do you have? Is this going into the N/A filter housing?

I have fitted it into the housing now I have no idea where this connects to the firewall

Have a look at the wiring diagrams I posted in your last thread, I think its a light green wire, but, what you could do is just run a new wire to the gauge, from memory they work on the earth side of the gauge, like a variable resistor or potentiometer, so ,Ignition switched Live to gauge, earth from gauge to oil temp sender, shouldn't be too difficult to wire that up.
