Hi, im new on here,I have recently bought my first land rover. A Freelander 2 about 5 months ago. Very happy with it. I just noticed a few drops of oil on the road underneath the car. Its very viscous and black.. Have read some posts mostly about ird,s and various other 3 lettered words that mean nothing to me. I know im going to be told to take it to the garage. What sort of repair bill can i expect or is it something that can be done at home on ramps? Im not mechanically minded tho

Quite a few questions there, and no-one with any sense is likely to try and guesstimate other peoples prices on a forum!

Those questions are more likely to be answered in the freelander section. But before posting, try the excellent forum search function at top right hand side of page. Some of those issues have been fairly well covered before.
