ivancrx Well-Known Member Mar 26, 2020 #1 200tdi Engine. Just taken the intake manifold off so I can get the the starter and one on the ports is very dirty, not sure if oil or carbon but looks like oil. Any one have any ideas as to the cause?

HandyAndyUK Member Mar 26, 2020 #2 Potentially the cyclone breather, is the oil coming in from the breather pipe? Have a google of Defender 200tdi cyclone breather, and see whether those threads sound similar to your issue.

Click to expand... That is also quite normal, bright torch and you can see through the spring coils if the seal has moved up the valve stem
