Right so I bought the Disco, gave it a general service and found that oil was passing the cyclone breather, and depositing into the air intake. And thus oil was passing into the turbo impeller, I spent a good amount of time cleaning oil out of the turbo hoses, intercooler etc.

I assumed it was because the previous owner had been a bit generous topping up the oil, but have checked the hose today and the oil is breathing in again. (to the point of dripping a puddle from the hose) I know that this is not a good sign but to protect the turbo whilst I get the funds together to sort it would It be a good Idea to fit a bodged drop tank on the tube in question (was thinking a small coke bottle with a copper tube for an inlet/outlet)

Basically was wondering if anyone had tryed this solution and asking if its worth the time.

Sounds feasible.
What pipes the oil entering from?
It's not the breather pipe is it, my TurD done that. :(

Gonna give it another service soon (cant believe done 8000 miles since the last one already ) so gonna clean it all out again and was hoping that the bottle may give me an idea how bad the problem is
