well, i dunno reallt wes, just generally, i think, just been looking on how it works.com but i think i now understand even less ffs.just want an insight to it all so that i understand what its all about. we all just assume its dangerous but i think if anything is mismanaged then its dangerous. maybe this is a bit deep for a tuesday evening but its all about my thirst for knowleage

There are 2 heavy forms of hydrogen, dueterium and tritium. Deuteriums got 1 neutron and tritiums got 2. If they are forced together the nuclei fuse to form a helium nucleus (containing 2 protons and 2 neutrons). This also produces a bi product called a free neutron it is the energy in the free neutron that we harness and use.

its an atomic reaction the creates heat. heat creates steam and that drives the turbine to produce electricity just like an old fashioned coal fired station.
the reaction is simliar to plastic padding. remember that stuff? it gets rather hot when u mix it!
btw. the coal industry has killed far more peeps than the nuclear power industry.
