took the 90 for its first real 'far away' drive since its rebuild. went to hastings. yup , all the way to hastings and back.
now , when i got to hastings i noticed the temp was reading , well it was reading like it had only been started and there was clouds of smoke from the exhaust when pulling away from traffic lights.
i pulled over and low and behold all the cooling system was cold , full but cold. i checked the oil and it was very low , off the dip stick low so i tried to drive it to a garage but when i pulled away from where i parked up there was a lot of grinding and shuddering from the front half of the vehicle somewhere so i pulled over again.
i checked everything underneath (i have a worn prop , driving members and diff flange on the front) then drove to a petrol station so get oil , the garage had no oil for a turbo engine so he told us to go to the one 1/2 a km up the road , its was actually 11 miles away in rye
, so , put some oil in and drove it home , still the guage was reading 'just started' cold all the way back to london.
any ideas why my engine is running so cold? its a 19j.
