Osram nightbrakers seam to be the preferred option to uprate headlights, don't even think about hid converstion as the lights were never designed for then so the light output is all over the place.

Thanks
But Could it be the earth as I have night breakers in already but how do you check the earth for headlights

Use a multimeter on plug to the bulb see what voltege you get if not good work out which is earth then run an extra wireto back of plug see if it gets brighter.

Usual problem is dimish dip, main beam are usually pretty good. But Nightbreakers are very good. Have them in mine.

Hi all
2.5 dse headlamps work ok just not bright enough when there are no streetlights any ideas welcomed
Odd, one of the things I noted when I got p38a a few months back, is just how good the headlights are. While shopping for one, I was considering what headlight upgrades I might do. But there is no need.

As far as I know they are stock with stock bulbs in too. But way more than bright enough on dip and main beam is better than many other vehicles I've owned, even ones that I've fitted additional spot lights too.

If yours really aren't very good, then figuring out what is wrong with them first is probably a better idea than trying to upgrade them.

iv the same problem after driving down a few country lanes this evening will be checking my headlights for internal dirt tomorrow and ordering a pair of osrams

Alternatively..
