Hi all, just popped on the forum to see if anyone can help me. I have a discovery write-off that needs to be sold for salvage. It's an M reg discovery 4litre petrol. Good tyres and loads of good bits still on it. Where would I go to find a landrover specific salvage firm that would pay me for it and also collect it. I'm in North Yorkshire.

why not advertise it as a damage repairable in the back of auto trader. or break it yourself and sell the parts on ebay

it's near skipton. it's my son's and I don't live anywhere near him and he is too busy to do anything. It's not repairable as it was a front end crash (into a dry stone wall in the rain) airbags went off. I don't know specific damage but windscreen and front end gone, front drivers wheel turned into drivers door but engine is fine as far as I know. I didn't mean there were extras, just that there is still loads of bits & pieces that are useable. Back end not touched and still 3 good alloys and tyres, all back light clusters, tinted windows, etc etc. he's in rented and it's in his grden so it need to be gone. he doesn't have anywhere to strip it and put it on ebay.
PS, he's got another discovery he's getting but his last insurere (he didn't bother claiming) kept putting up prices. I've had a quick look on computer comparisons and they range from £347 to £879) Huge differences. Anyone got any opinions on who to use & who to avoid in the way of insurance companies.
