over the last couple of days i have noticed that when i start my discovery 2 td5 the engine needs 5 minutes to get to that usual symphony of a roar. When revved now it just seems to be a duller non energetic sound my question is could this be down to a faulty map sensor or could it just be down to the temperature change i checked all the pipes and its a new maf sensor i am at logger heads on what it may be thanks in advance

Hi, It'll help if someone near you can get it plugged in to see if there are any clues.

I'd make sure that the glow plugs are working, before you start it in the morning unplug one which ever is easyer and measure for voltage while somebody turns ignition on, this will show if they get voltage or not... if this is ruled out unplug them all and measure resistance across the plug's terminal and head, a good plug should have around 0.9 Ohm.
