New owner p38 Diesel, loving the vehicle.

Having a long crank issue to start.

Changed glow plugs, fuel filter, and fuel pipes to injectors.
Once started runs nice.

I did notice a few bubbles in clear pipe from filter.

Any help appreciated

Check the leak off pipes, see if there is any diesel in the wells around the injectors, they are a regular failure item or is that what your have done when you say "changed fuel pipes"? Have you checked the voltage at the glow plugs?
Another common cause of poor starting is the FIP timing which needs diagnostics to check.

Did you check the end cap on injector#6 and change the pipe from injector #1 to the FIP?
The P38 is not OBD compliant, you need a Nanocom.

Update

I went to drop the tank but I decided to lift the back seat.
I found a cut in the floor.
Someone had went at it..

So I continued to remove sender..
The 2 nuts were a nitemare to remove, they were in bad shape..
I got them wit a lot of cleaning and penetrating oil..I took my time and worked them loose.

Test pump nothing…the pump would only work if I tapped it with a light hammer..

So new pump on the way..

So guys before dropping tank

Look under seat..
