Hello All. I am looking to purchase a 110 defenender to use as a daily car, with mixed motorway driving and round town, and for camping and lugging ice hockey kit about at the weekends, and the usual trips to the tip/recycling site.

I am also rennovating my house, and this required a change from a Chrysler 330c to a Navara as it was not possible to get a skip at the front or back due to how the street and main road are laid out, and the Chrylser's boot had bad access, and I was not keen on carrying rubble tubs full of rubbish about.

Since buying the Navara, I have come to love the way it drives, which on the roads is quite rough, noisy etc like what I have read Defenders are like.

Does anybody have any experience in both? From reading up - people state the usual - Defenders are bad on the motorway, but I actually like driving the Navara on these roads, better than sticking a normal car in cruise control and staring blankly at the road ahead.

Thanks in advance - Calvin

Welcome, I had a Navara for a few years, Nice car to be honest shame it sort of fell apart then blew up ! Ive a defender now,,,, noisey, a bit thirsty rattles alot etc etc, but GREAT wouldnt go back to a Navara now. Defenders also hold thier value for ever it seems.

They actually increase in value here.

Thanks for the replies, how did the road noise etc compare from the Navara to the Defender? I would be getting acoustic matting etc fitted as I would not be using it for off road, and dont have to worry about it getting wet inside (apart from any leaks!)

Try a catheter mate, or incontinence pants

They are certainly noisier than Navara, but with some effort you can reduce the noise, tyres can make a difference as well.
