hi found a bit of oil at ecu red plug so I changed the injector harness today but now it wont start ? will the ecu need plugging in ? it run fine before I started, turns over but wont fire

Are you sure you got the plug under the front of the rocker cover securely home as it can be a bit awkward? There's no need to plug it in because of harness change but it would tell you if there was a problem such as injector open circuit (which might point to poor connection as I suggest).

If you're talking about the Land Rover's ecu which the red plug goes into then yes of course you'll need that connected
