Got home today only to find my D2 has a nice new puddle of oil under it. Oil dripping off the front diff . Had a quick look up under and the alternator looks very covered in oil . Was to dark to take the engine cover off and start the hunt . So any heads up please . It's a D2 td5 , 51plate why do they always do this days b4 there MOT :-/

Still searching for one of my oil leaks.could be front cam seal,rocker cover gasket.both cheap quick easy repairs.had my sump off 4/5 times before stopping leak in the end i used high temp black gasket sealant just a thin bead top and bottom of rubber sump gasket.will be doing same with new rocker cover gasket.

Will check them both 1st . And yes I think I'll do the same and start using some high temp sealant to . Think I might even de grease the engine as well just to get a better look . And make it look nice for its mot next week . My mate runs the local mot centre , and last year when I turned up with it he walked out with a tesco bag on his head , and said I'm ready for your mot now . Oh how I laughed and laughed :-/
