when i had my 200tdi engine put in, the mechanic said he put brand new clutch in, he showed the bite point when i picked her up and it was at the bottom, but now it up near the top after only driving it a cpl of months? is this normal and need adjustment or have i been sold another donkey

could be that your clutch plate has worn which lets the diaphragm fingers move towards release brg raising biting point.you could also remove 6x screw on clutch pedal box and adjust cylinder rod so that you move pedal towards cylinder ,sometimes clutch pedal can ratchet if cylinder adjusted too far as fluid may not return fully
