Well, my clutch bearing died before christmas so decided that I would get a garage to replace it and put in a new clutch while they were at it. Stay frosty and get someone else to do it?
The problem is that the next day i noticed that there was a tapping / knocking sound coming from the gearbox tunnel area when the clutch is out. I am not sure if it goes away under load but it never gets louder when driven etc. When you put clutch down, the sound goes.
I am going to drop into the garage that did the work on saturday but can anyone give any suggestions as to what it might be?
I spoke to garage already and they said perhaps a gearbox oil change as it may be a bit tired. The noise was not there before I am sure!
Thanks all! :blabla:
