I've done a search but couldn't find an answer to this question.

I'm thinking of replacing my rear lights (inidcator & tail light) with NAS lights to my TD5 110 and am not sure if I need to buy the plinths as well. Can anyone tell me whether they an essential part of the conversion or a "nice to have"?

not essential but look nice on fog and reverse lamps

makes life a lot easier I believe.

If you don't use the mounting plinths, you will have to enlarge the holes in your bodywork to get them flush.
