Hi,

Can anyone recommend a decent nanocom which I can connect to a IPad? Was advised to get one and thought I'd ask you guys for a recommendation. I have a iPad in the car and wondered if there was one with a particularly good app?

There's the Nanocom Evolution for the D2, how many more Nanocom's are there? And Nanocom Evolution spec doesn't mention Bluetooth communication and even if it did would it communicate with an iOS iPad.?

Nanocoms do not have bluetooth access. In any event why would you need it? It is a self contained unit with a touch screen.

Because I already have iPad, reversing camera, CB Radio in front and just wanted to make the most of the ipad. Trying to create a single pain of glass to use for all.

So? All of that is utterly irrelevant. It's not some cheap dongle (which will not work btw) you plug in to the port and it links to an iPad like Torque Pro. It is a professional self contained diagnostics unit.

From what I have read from BBS, it is not meant to be use as a permanent 'gauge' so to speak, just to be plugged in when required.

How is it irrelevant? I just stated I wanted a single pain of glass for as much as possible! However if you mentioned that it is not meant to be used as a permanent gauge then i'm guessing it is not really possible.

Because it cant be done! Its like wanting your speedo gauge on your iPad despite there being a gauge there! I know what your after but it can't be done with a Nanacom, or with the plug in OBDII devices as the TD5 even though it is OBDII it isnt at the same time lol. Only things that work are the Nanocom & Hawkeye. That said have a look at Britparts Lynx gear, I think they do a bluetooth one but it may only be for RRs.
