so if i have a rear window and replace it with a solid piece of material is that legal.I use it as a van so i will only end smashing the window some time and the tail gate is fooked.I pulled the andle arf yesterday:mad::mad::D

Well you can tint any windows behind the B pillar as dark as you like (including 100% tinted ie. opaque) so i can't really see why not...
 
dont see why not, i think you must have mirrors on both sides as you wont see much thro interior mirror, my fiat ducato van hasnt got windows in back but was built that way
 
my freelander is the van version, have the dog guard on the tailgate, with fabric cable tied to the dog guard so thieving scrotes canny see in, and obviously I can't see out. Been like this since the day I bought it (1st thing I did). Had a similar thing on my old astravan too, always went through the MOT with no problems, had a couple of tugs off plod too for other supposed misdemeanours, but the not being able to see out the rear window things was never mentioned, even when plod asked me to open the boot because he couldn't see in to see what I had in the boot, he never mentioned the rear window couldn't be covered.
