Hi there, in the last few months my TD5 Auto has developed a tapping noise on acceleration. Cant hear it on tick over, or revved when bonnet up. Any ideas?

Also I have all I can explain is two small push button switches on the steering cowel. one underneath and one on the side, can anybody throw some light wot these are for. I have pushed em and nowt

just had the same fault with my td5 3 day,s after i serviced it. found it to be an expanded rotory filter which i had fitted from a main supplier.
detected it by usin screwy as a stephascope. the filer expands and when revved spins and hits the inside of the housing. if you take filter out will go worth a try
