Not long finished making this to get the new main-shaft nut tightened to the correct torque on my S3. This is my take on the tool.

All you need is a 30mm deep reach socket. I'll get to see if it works at the weekend, fingers crossed.

Nice bit of work that mate .....

Hopefully cheaper than the £40 that some places charge AND a lot nicer than smashing the bejesus out of the castellated mainshaft nut lol .

Most places I've seen are charging £85+ for a main-shaft nut tool. Two or three hours on the mill and lathe is more than worth my effort. Plus it's enjoyable.

Nice work there, I made a batch of 4 to help people out. Free to loan just pay postage if required (£6) I do ask for a £20 refundable deposit to make sure they come back. 2 here with me in South Staffs and 1 in Wakefield the other one in the Sale Manchester area to help folks up north collect. Mine are like the ones on Ebay deep with the 1/2" square drive and 30mm hexagon.

Nice work, I didn't realise they were so expensive to buy...I better find the one I got with my Roamerdrive and put it somewhere safe!
