Jus been on e-bay and my lovely landy that i sold a couple of weeks ago is back on e-bay. I was half tempted to buy her back but not for that price.

Why do people advertise landys covered in mud. I look at the pics and she looks like she has been hammered. I cant see him getting that price, but since selling her through the auto trader I have had apprixmately 100 calls over her. Maybe she was worth more than the £1300 I sold her for.

landrover,110 landrover,4x4,defender,lpg conversion on eBay, also, Land Rover, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 09-Mar-08 18:39:20 GMT)

Yeah...spill the beans. It actually looks in good nick considering whoever bought it from you has apparently gone bouncing through a few bomb holes before deciding to get shut again.

There wasnt much wrong with it other than a leaking water pump. If I was going to keep it I would of done a little welding on the chassis and bulkhead and waxoyled the chassis.

Bloody hell....that's not too much to ask is it?? :(

Give him a bell and tell him you'll give im the £1300 back and go rescue that fine vehicule from being trashed by plebs!!

(Listen to the voices...you know you want to) :p

I was thinking about it, but a friend seen it getting hammered around an off road site by mine. Said he thought it had been stolen the way it was being driven, so going to give it a wide berth. The only problem with it is, it never came with an LPG certificate.

It had a spare head (I think that is what it is called, just the silver alloy top section of the engine). I like the 81,000 genuine miles, even though it came with nothing to back the mileage up other than an old MOT. Problem being the tripometer thingy had stopped working and had been stuck on 81k since I took ownership of her.

got a solid shasi apparantly....duno what that would be

Chris, SHASI is: [SIZE=-1]The Shasi Framework (Semantic Human-ActionScript Interpreter)

Apparently.

Ah well....seems like some poor fooker is going to buy it without the benefit of seeing this thread.

What value is the LPG cert'? Or am I being dense??

When I bought her I didnt know that an LPG certificate was important but when I came to getting insurance a fair few companies asked for it. In the end I went with firebond who didnt ask for it. If I get another LPG landy I will make sure it comes with one.

looks like its been wheel spining in a local feild, i'd just let go acky, was with andy and chris today wondering if yer had picked anything else up but looks like yer still landyless????

Alrite Raz hows it going fella, hows your disco getting on. Still keep changing my mind on what to get, but im on my arse this month. Spent a fortune going out on the ****. One minute I want a classic and then I want an old series rag top. Im sure I will come accross one in the next few wks, just havent seen any bargains jump out at me yet, and e-bay seems to be full of crap motors.

fook get that series off chris, got his 90 now so the ragtop is left to one side, am sure the sight of some cash and he would let it go.

I dint know that about the cert. Good to know! Hope you do find something soon though John. :)

Oil Dripper....you is a bad man. ;)

eventually gotta response to me questions

sorry mate cant get in touch with my mate but am sure he will have a certificate as for milage you only have to see the condition last owner was a police man

That inspires confidence, jus goes to show how ppl on e-bay can be ripped off if they do not have their witts about them. The Landy was in good nick but still had the usual faults, mainly doors, and rear cross member, which were nver mentioned in the original ad.
Think its a classic dodgy e-bay ad.
