i have only recently bought a Disc2000 td5 gs
its my first Landrovery fulfilling a lifelong dream.
i have seen alot of negative press on my car.
can you all advise me some of the preventive maintainance you all do to prevent these td5problems

A lot of negative press? The series 2 Discos have improved upon the first Discos in some areas; chassis should rot less etc. and the TD5 is a pretty good lump of an engine. There can be problems with almost any secondhand vehicle, not only Land Rover.
