Hi all heres my disco, been looking at some of the other projects on here and its great reading ( Green hornet & Mr Noisy ) its keeping me focused on fixing mine, although i'm only just learning welding thought i better the amount i need done would of cost a fortune paying someone else, so dont look to close at the pics when i post them lol

Other things i have done since i got the car end of Aug this year :-
New Glow plugs
New Thermostat
New Battery
New Alternator belt
New alternator tensioner bearing
Service kit

Changed passenger door handle

Ah mate you have a garage and everything you lucky bastard.

Your inner wing is a little better than mine. I will show photos from this weekend and you will see. The top near the windscreen is a lot worse on mine. It wouldn't take a lot to put my hand inside the car.

The inner wing underside of the arch is soo common it's not funny. Your wings can be patched nicely without the expense of panels. Take your time and you should have a repair that will last.

Finally I would always recommend putting the vehicle on axle stands.mi have 3 tonne jobbies ( the misses cooking lol ) and they are fine. Just £12 a pair or so from Amazon. It is amazing how much you can move a car on a trolley jack and then suddenly it's on the floor, or worse, you.

Excellent mate, looks like a tidy little project starting there :)

Best of luck with it, stick at it and remember, if in doubt, cut more out!

Cheers mate :D

Cheers guys , green hornet thanks for ur comments i do have it on a axle stand aswell jack was just left there so not in the way lol as yeah i have a garage but its tight in there to work on also had to remove garage door completely just to get car in lol, am looking forward to seeing ur pics and good luck with the work, Mr noisy u have a great motor i have been reading lrm and admiring ur car must be great to have it featured well done :)

You're lucky you can get it in the garage. Once mines done with a +5" or so it will be too tall for any garage, car park and even going to the tip.

Did I say that I thought this through............................

Green hornet yeah i know thats why i'm only gonna raise mine 2" when i get round to it as i can put new garage doors on and it will still go in there i know someone who has the problem you mentioned and i dont want to make it unusable as its my daily driver, but you'll love it when its done lol
