Does anyone have or know where i can pick up a AMR 5350 unit, I believe they are rare and mine is playing up :( don't really fancy paying £200. Thanks in advance.

Have a look on ebay for a used one - if you fancy taking a gamble on it working correctly, you might be able to return if for a refund if it doesn't.......................

Ive had a look everywhere and can only find amr 1280, Im not sure if that would work, or would it? are there two types of 5350?

AMR 1280 is black and AMR 5350 is cream. If you aren't sure, switch your phone to video, shove it up the back of the fuse board and wiggle it - worked for me.

My gut reaction is that they are not interchangeable.

Breakers?

Yup £130 from Rimmer's when I replaced mine, I deal with electronic kit every day and we would never use a s/h item the s/h MFU which is powered 24/7 could be 16 or 17 years old .....but u may be lucky for a short while.:(

ouch £130, i see ur point with a s/h unit. I guess ill just live without it for a little while till xmas is out of the way. dont think the missus would appreciate a new mfu for xmas lol.

There's a lot to go wrong in a MFU :D

I've seen that :( I got mine in Jan 2011 £138 inc the p&p.
Why such a price increase perhapes the are very rare now and there's no alternative to use, IIRC Rimmers was the only place to get one not even LR had them at the time I wanted one.

I had loss of the rear wiper, rear heater, interior light etc. I disconnected the bat unplugged the mfu and popped it all back and its all working again, I have a backup unit lined up for 15 quid so we shall see how it goes.
