Title not to good but when the old girl starts in the morning and i warm her up the steering is quite stiff and noisey also she lacks power, now get 3/4 mile down the road and shes pretty much fine, power steering fluid ok and all belts tight so what do you reckon? Incidentally pulled a Shogun out of a ditch 3 days ago that had slide off in the ice!!!! but the photos rubbish, The guy said he was buying a Disco so if you are on here (i gave him the site details) say hi.:beer2:

is the atf oil old or done lots of miles as the oil degrades and dosent work that well cold, or do you have a small oil leak ( possibly very small) on the steering system as could be letting air into the system.

try bleeding the system through use atf dexronII

failing that it could be the power steering pump or box.

i would recomend change the oil and blleed the system through.

if its noisey when running you could have air running round the system and cavitateing in the pump

Yeah sounds like air i will give that a go cheers a problem shared and all that.
