Hi All
When starting up the engine has a miss but when revving it dissapears, called AA engineer came had a gander looked at coil packs , revved engine recomended changing one coil pack and 4 spark plugs as a start ! He didnt have the parts nor did any other vehicle in the area so towed me home
Before taking to garage is there anything else that would cause this problem ? any ideas ?

i take it is the freelander 1800 could be rotor arm and distributor cap these are prone if you take the dis cap off the rotor arm has a screw holding it on try thses first

Take the plugs out and the affected cylinder should be obvious by the colour difference. Hopefully it is just a coil pack gone down. But if plug looks steam cleaned or rusty compared to others-hgf

so what was it plugs ? rotor arm, cap?
