my passenger mirror motor is working however the mirror does not move, I tried to take the glass off by following an earlier thread ,moving the glass away from the door against a spring but I dont feel it pushing against any spring? The mirror tilts up and down side to side very easily with my finger .When I try moving the drivers mirror with my finger it will not move.Any other ideas on how to move the passenger glass without breaking it or the clip that holds it in.If I get into the gubbings I may be able to see why the motor is not moving the glass.

You need to pull it quite hard within the housing to the outside (away from the window) and at the same time pull the outer edge outwards. If you do break the retaining clip, they're only a couple of quid. Unless your mirror already has a broken clip and there's globs of Araldite holding it together from a previous owner

Manged to get the glass off without breaking it or the holder (a feat in itseld) found the motor that tilts it up and down works ok however the motor that moves it side to side was not working and the teeth on the arm stripped.So new passenger mirror after xmas .Bang another £45.Day was not wasted got the DA polisher out and did the bonnet ,it was starting to look pink after I washed it , I dont think the previous owner knew what polish was . It came up really well ,I cant wait to do a full detail on it and bring life back into the paint , roll on Spring lolol
