Seeing as my P38 is half in bits at the moment, apart from usual service items, what else would people recommend I replace?

Thinking of doing the fan as I can't remember it ever not running i.e. it's permanently spinning. So folk just replace the VC or the whole thing? What about going electric?

Anything else while I'm at it?

Do you mean the fan never stops turning,

Do you mean stop spinning as that is normal, it's does it locks up or not.

The fan with engine running always spins, it is the amount of engagement that varies.

Thank you gents.

Was just after reading horror stories of it disintegrating and then had a light bulb moment. Or tea light.

If you do not know how old your fuel pump is I would recommend replacing it. They can suddenly stop working and leave you stranded.

Now there's a Sunday job. VDO unit and not a cheaper version. Unless you like tank dropping?
