My passenger window has broken so I'm thinking about converting them both to electric while I'm at it... anyone else attempted it?

Before I go pulling the door cards off does anyone know if the wiring will already be there?

I've seen kits like this Electric Window Conversion Kit for 2 Windows £69.00 - in-car-stuff.com - Car Alarms & Security, Car Audio, In Car DVD, In Car TV, Speakers, Subwoofers, UK and Ireland delivery or would it be better to get the original gubbins from a yard?

Mines a 3dr by the way

The easy way is the electric pods the fit to the door card and take the place of the window winder handle. I suspect that the internals of the electric window door is a lot different from yours. Replace the doors as a whole would be good as they are I beleive the doors are the same. But you also need the electrics and switches to operate the windows.

The kit you link to looks ok I think
 
hit thanks, I'll go for it if I can be sure the wiring into the door is already there, otherwise I can imagine it'd be a bit of a nightmare
 
Two places to look for unused electrical sockets 1. where the switches would be, ie, between the seats 2. in side the door where the window motor would be, ie. cable and socket laying in the bottom of the door
