Hello freelander fans, anybody know where I can get a replacement key for my roof rack? Tried the local key cutting man but he said they won't do them, is this a main dealer job?

The blank doesn't look unusual, it's just a matter of finding someone who has them. Try Timpsons

Tried calling marshall landrover but no one available to answer questions just a hot sounding receptionist. Will call tomorrow and let you know.

Hey if I work the bank holiday then Land Rover should. They charge enough for parts/services so they should be able to afford to pay there employees overtime.

I`m pretty sure a good key cutting place will do these for a few quid, have a look around the local markets, sometimes they are on there.

Posted earlier on a similar thread, but a good Locksmith, not a keys but while you wait place can cut a key from your barrel (lock on roof bar). Again, im saving to get this done as funds are tight this month! As you have the full key tho, itll be straight forward, i had a new ignition key cut for the ex-disco from a complete key but with a ridge broken off than worked first time. Look in yellow pages for a lock/safe company.

In the end land rover wanted £18 + vat and it would take up to six weeks to arrive, yellow pages out, company called Dent security in Cambridge did me 2 keys for £10 and they work perfectly. Up your bum land rover.

Get out the yellow pages and find a proper lock smith and get a spare cut, would have been £6 for 2 keys if it was not broken.
