Hi every one does anybody know if I can buy a throttle position sensor on its own without the peddle it needs to be a 3 position type for a discovery 2 reg GL53NLJ and if so what is the part No and where from. I'm asking this because at about 2000 revs steady on flat engine dies m+s lights on and no throttle just comes to a rolling stop! Ignition off then back on off we go again until next time I'm thinking its tp sensor because it never happens in cruise control. Any thoughts and advice would be fantastic!!

Nope its a pedal replacement job. The sensor is integrated and non serviceable. I swopped mine out in an hr, bit fiddly but ok. I bought a 3 pos pedal off ebay used, worked fine. The loom is also a potential cause, but id look at the pedal first.
Oh and you need to read fault codes to get proper diagnosis, or live data. I used a Hawkeye to diagnose

How good is your battery? I had something similar a while ago. Diag said TPS, turned out to be low volts to the ecu.
