Hi all,
Quick question on behalf of a mate ... he has blown a hole in his TD5 Defender T-box and burnt through the wiring loom amongst other things. He has got a replacement LT230 T-box but his old one has an electrical connection near the top built in to the actual block next to the selector area. The replacement box doesn't have this connector which obviously means that it's from an older 200/300tdi. Can anyone tell me what this connector does and if you can do without it?

it will work okay without it ,hi/lo housing will need changing too as arms are different for cable operated as td5 ,it tells ecu your in low box ,a switch can be fitted in the cab to replace it by forming a circuit between the two wires for when box is in lo
