I know this has been done to death, i've searched but not found what i'm looking for (I know someone will find something straight away)
My front seats in the 90 have seen better days. Looking to change them.
I would like something comfortable, with head restraints high enough for the missus to rest her head against (the originals are too low) and some that the base comes away to get to the battery etc, I don't want to have to unbolt them overtime i need to get to the battery/aux fusebox!

Hoping to spend a couple of hundred quid (Ideally), nothing extortionate, are the TD5 seats any better?
Whats the recommendations?

If the seat covers are in a reasonable state, consider just refurbishing them with new foam inserts. I did this to mine and it made a big difference. After 25 years the foam tends to break up.

+1. New seat bases and covers for the backs made a huge difference. Loads of threads on here recommending SAAB seats if you're looking for something different.

I'm just looking for something a bit more comfortable, higher at the back and a base that is removable.....So some kind of more modern defender seat i'm guessing?
