Any ideas on how to best cure the pussy flow from the Disco I cabin blower?

Is it a case of replacing for a new one or are they that shiite from new?

And secondly, does anyone have a better cure?

e.g. Replacing with a non-disco blower?

My fan unit howls like a banshee and is barely effective on full blast, let alone that it seems to actually cool the engine water temp when running!
