Today I had a few fuelling problems on my disco 200 tdi engine in my 90 so I changed the filter and the problem continued. I carry a spare pump so I changed it. When I took off the old pump I saw this.......



The lever was bent to one side!

And the lever gouged.......



What could have caused this? It was flat to the engine when I removed it!

That's not good, drain the oil and look for bits of metal. It looks like it slipped off the cam but I don't see how the arm can have bent all by itself.

Cheers I'll change the oil ASAP. I hope there's nothing wrong with with the cam that pumps the lever! Has anyone known this happen before?
