I need to replace my main lead from battery to starter, was going to get some welding cable to replace it with.
Mines past its best, the terminations are a little corroded, and its starting to give me a sluggish starter, and a less than optimal charging., in fact I needed to switch in the second battery yest to overcome the extra resistance.

Soo, does anyone know what length I need, cant take it off cos I need the fender to go get the cable :/

oh, another reason for getting it made up, the "proper" part is £40+ I can upgrade the cable thickness, and still be cheaper than that :O

C'mon! Where is your battery?

If it's under the passenger seat a metre will be enough and should give you a bit of spare, depending how it's routed!

Get one from Halfrauds for a lot less than your 40 squids!

Shame you didn't ask this last week as I've just given some on here the battery cable off a discovery I've had the engine out of and I'm sure that would have been plenty long enough. Could try a breakers for one
