After very nearly running out of petrol last night trying to find a local
garage that still sells Lead Replacement Petrol, I've finally realised
that I'm going to have to start running on unleaded, presumably with an
additive. Any advice on required additives/whether timing adjustment is
going to be required. Vehicle is a LandRover, 1964 IIA, petrol, 2286cc.

Castrol Valvemaster (or Valvemaster Plus) is a good additive.

Unleaded fuel isn't really a problem until you get up to motorway speeds
or regularly work the engine hard.

An unleaded head with the correct valves is the way to go permanently
though and also means you can convert to LPG.
