I have a 53 plate Freelander and want to tow my off roader on the back. Is it safe to use a tow bar and do I need special insurance?

I am new to this so any help would be appreciated.

the towed vehicle would have to be taxed mot'd and insured, best use a trailer

as said needs to be legal otherise a trailer is needed and if you have not got a trailer lisence if your passed after circa 1997 then you must do the test around £300-400ish
