Just put a board or white sheet or something down overnight. If it’s leaking litres it wouldn’t be hard to find
It’s going somewhere so losing it either externally or internally. If you do have a small leak somewhere fluid out means air can get in so not spewing it’s guts up is good sign.

What condition is engine oil?

yep its leaking
no need to put paper down just look underneath can see a steady drip dripping
seams to be coming from back side of block high up
running down the baukhead
thats why i think its the heater core
will have it jacked up again tomorrow and dig deeper but not much room there
according to what i see its the complete inside if car needs to come out to do it
its behind the dash
video i see on utube
seats out then dash steering wheel and whole radio/nave center consul comes out in one lump !!
sounds expencive

pity i cant go back 2 months and walk away and get the defender i went out for originaly

Not expensive to DIY I should imagine.

so
still no headway
cant get the bolts out for the undertray
not lost any water over night
but no pressure in system
bought the car just over a month ago
had one years gaurentee , called the garage this morning
closed till 1 sept (Bloody French)
anyway he said to take it back then
he will either change it for another car ( range rover ) he has several there
or lend me one while he fixes this one
pity cos i like this one ( why i choose it ) Baltic Blue / white leather inside
have to see what he offers

Guarantee just take it back don’t potch yourself. You get another one to try while he fixes yours sounds like you bought off the right guy

Not the egr valve? Could be losing coolant via the egr valve cooler... Stupid bloody system....

so
left it parked in drive now for 2 days, not started it up
no loss of coolent
so is only leaking under pressure
will see if i can fix up a pressure test some how

do
have found coolant laying in the V around the Oil Cooler/Filter
its a busy day today not able to do anything
tomorrow will try and move some of the pipes out the way and clean up along the top
maybe see something
there is a bit of oils in there to so maybe oil cooler slight leak

ok
problem found

plastic pipe front top end of engine
and o ring on oil cooler in same place
expect bits to arrive Monday

can breath better now ( thought it was going to be inlet manifold
used a water dye and borrowed a pressure pump and fitting
