My 1984 175,000 mile 2.5 N/A diesel has developed an engine knocking noise recently and i'm worried about driving it.
It sounds like one of the tappets needs adjusting, but I've checked them all and they seem ok.
Oil is ok, performance seems the same.
This noise sounds like metal hitting metal.
Any ideas anyone?
I need to use it but don't want to do any damage
