Hi Guys

Replaced the battery on remote fob today i have done the usual 5 button press routine but still wont work am i missing somthing i.e does the ignition need to be on doors open or shut or is there somthing else that could be causing it

Fob worked ok before just appeared to be a flattening battery

Remove the old battery, press each button for a good few seconds to drain any power left in the fob.
Install new battery +ve side facing upwards.
Unlock door with the key and operate the fob lock button 4 or 5 times.

Try your spare fob, maybe this one is broken.

thanks for your help will try that when i get a mo have tried the spare fob all is ok

and never keep two fobs on one ring [or spare in motor] when fob battery is getting low [volts] you will get a beep in motor , this can happen in very cold weather [cold depletes volts] just ignore that one
